🔐 Optional encryption

🎁 🎁 Free plan

3 notebooks and 1000 notes free per account — no card required.

🔐 Encryption limits — honestly

Exactly what the encryption protects… and what it does not:

The password travels over TLS and the key is derived only at request time — we never store the password or the key.
An encrypted note’s plaintext is never stored on our servers — only the salt, IV and ciphertext.
Forgotten password = content lost forever. There is no recovery, by us or anyone.
The EL OUATINE team cannot read encrypted notes — the workshop only sees counters (note counts).
Encryption protects server storage, not your device if compromised, nor a shared password.

❓ FAQ

Is the service free?

Yes — every account gets 3 notebooks and 1000 notes free. The EL OUATINE team can raise quotas for specific accounts.

What happens if I forget an encrypted note’s password?

Its content is lost forever. We store neither the password nor the key, so no recovery is possible — keep the password somewhere safe.

Can the EL OUATINE team read my notes?

Your plain notes are protected by your account. Encrypted notes cannot be read by anyone without the password — not even us. The workshop only sees statistics.
